In rainy seasons, How to prevent the cupping of your wood flooring

In the rainy seasons, the wood flooring is tending o expand or even cup. This is going to happen due to the moisture in the air getting into the wood of your flooring.. As we know, after the wood absorb the moisture, your flooring will expand. Then your wood flooring probably will cup or even buckle. What shall we do about this?

when it is going to rain, if you need to close the window in time to stop the rain going into the house , especially in the rainy seasons;;pls make sure to check the windows before leaving the house., at least do not let the windows be opened too large. When pay attention to ventilation inside the house and remove some of the moisture, such as open the windows large when you are at home.

Do some waxing treatments. Two weeks or a month,after the hardwood flooring is installed  to be the first waxing, You need to was the wood flooring.Generally after 3 to 4 times of the wood floor waxing,  the moisture left during the construction period can be removed. 

Six months or a year later, once more waxing treatment could extend the lifetime of your wood flooring, or could prevent your hardwood flooring influenced by moisture in the air during raining seasons. In addition, waxing can also slow the wearing of your floors. Unless your floor has been worn very seriously, pls do not use solid wax on your wood flooring. 

Generally the solid wax is just suitable for the wood flooring installed more than five years. And waxing with the solid was for one time would be enough. Liquid was would be the best option.

If the wood flooring in a small area is cupped, you must take action immediately so as to avoid the cupping of wood flooring in larger area. If  the wood floor cupping happens,pls do not deal with it yourself,  it will be best for you to ask a professional guy to handle.
